What is the Nuonic platform, and why should I use it?

Nuonic is a platform that provides Fuel Accounting and analysis features to help transport, logistics and industrial businesses to track and optimise fuel spend. It provides easy-to-use tools to import, manage and apply your fuel spend data to valuable tasks such as Fuel Tax Credit calculations and spend analysis reports, saving you lots of time and manual work while keeping all your records neat and organised.

How do I import my fuel spend data?
You can upload data in the form of PDF statements from leading fuel card providers and CSV or Excel files. The system automatically identifies your assets (in most cases) and aligns your data into a consistent structure even if you use multiple providers with different statement formats.
What if my fuel provider or file format isn’t listed?
Our team are continuously adding new fuel providers and file formats, and we're happy to look at your needs and see if we can help. Just upload your file in the 'Other Sources' section and we'll get back to you with our thoughts on the best solution.
How does the system know which asset a transaction belongs to?

The system matches transactions to assets using asset IDs from your statements. Once matched, these connections are saved for future uploads, making it easier to track spend over time and apportion correctly for tax credit purposes.

How does this help with Fuel Tax Credits (FTC)?
Accurate fuel purchase data is essential for correct FTC claims. The system not only stores and links all your FTC reports to the original source documents as evidence to support your claims, it also applies the correct rules and rates based on the time of each purchase event. This helps your stay compliant and can save hours of time and stress in the future if you need to respond to an audit request.
Can I see reports or dashboards about my fuel spend?
Yes! The system includes a growing set of easy-to-use and pre-filled reports and dashboards to show you things like total spend, cost per asset, price per litre, and usage trends. You can use these insights to spot savings opportunities and improve efficiency.
Can I track fuel efficiency by asset?
Absolutely. Once your data is in the system, you can compare fuel usage across assets to see which are more efficient — and which might need attention.
Can I identify fuel theft and leakage?
The analytical tools provided in the platform allow you to spot unusual or unrealistic fuel purchase events which may indicate theft or leakage. Soon you will be able to compare fuel purchased for an asset with the expected usage of that asset to make this even more detailed.
Can I link GPS or engine data from my telematics provider?
We're working on this...! We currently provide GPS-based FTC analysis through another platform, Prism FTC, and are working to combine these systems for selected telematics providers. You can register your interest for early release in the Nuonic platform.
What if I need help with setup or troubleshooting?
We've designed the Nuonic platform to be super easy to use, but if you need any help our Australian-based team are available via email, Whatsapp and Slack to assist.

Nuonic Pty Ltd is an Australian registered technology business operating since 2016. We provide services to over 350 transport and logistics businesses through our locally-based team.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored is hosted on Amazon Web Services in Australian regions.
Is my data used for any other purpose?
No! We don't provide your data to any third party for any purpose other than providing this service to you and developing improvements to our service.
How secure is my data?
